My Current NYX Collection tried and tested and my WISHLIST!!

Hi beauts,
Our final makeup review for this week is the ‘must have’
brand at the minute NYX Cosmetics. NYX is a brand so many bloggers are talking about lately, It
seems to be the hard to find, hard to get products at the min and you're lucky
if you can firstly find a stand but then if you can actually find what you're looking for.
My NYX collection as you can see is tiny! I only started
getting products a few months back after a chance visit to a local chemist near
my office in Naas (Chemist in Sallins) one lunchtime and spotted the stand
almost full! There are stockists lists going around so I'll try attach one to
this post, I don't know how up to date they are but hopefully you can find one
close to you. I do know you can buy off Sam Mccauley’s website so that will
also help :)
I wasn't actually sure what I wanted to buy when I first saw
the stand so I went back after a little around other blogs and picked up the Jumbo
Eye pencil in Milk and the Wonder pencil. In a Chic Treat Club box last year we
were treated to a pink NYX blusher (October box) and most recently after trying
three different chemists/shops at home in Waterford, it was in Shaws that I got
a lipstick, butter gloss and another blusher. When I went to write this post I found a brown NYX shadow in my eye drawer and remembered I had bought this to
use to fill in my brows ages ago. So let’s have a look at them…
Brown Shadow, Taupe blush, Pink Blush, Milk pencil, Wonder pencil, Creme Brulee, Thalia
As you can see the swatches are amazing so I'm just gonna
break down the products for you all…
NYX Shadow- This medium brown colour shadow I use to fill in
my brows, I used to use it all the time so I have used half the pan already but
this is with daily use so it really lasts ages.
Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk- This is well loved by MUA’s and
beauty bloggers everywhere, perfect for highlighting the brow and the inner
corner of the eye.
Blusher (Taupe & Pink )- I love the Pink Blusher it’s so
bright and fun, it really brightens up any makeup look and as for Taupe then it’s
perfect for contouring on my paler days. It’s a softer brown then the usual
orange browns you use when you have tan on. Taupe again was recommended by
beauty bloggers, I believe this was from Sinead in The Beautiful Truth, if you
want a woman who knows her NYX then so check out her posts. Another great page
to look up in relation to NYX is From Matte to Metallic, the girls are
brilliant at finding dupe products and posting them which leads me to my next
product in my collection.
Thalia Lipstick- A must have according to the fab Sinead from The Beautiful Truth!! I searched two chemists and
then had the lady in Shaws check their drawer under the stand for this when I
was home and I finally got one. It’s a beautiful nude shade lippy, meant to be
the same as MAC Brave & MAC Modesty so it’s a double dupe that’s just brilliant!!
Wonder Pencil- This was a bit of a random buy for me I must
admit, I think it was the fact it was being sold as a triple product that meant
I wanted it so much. It’s meant to be a concealer, a nude liner for your eyes
and also a lip liner. I haven’t tried it out as a lip liner yet as I think it’s
gonna be too light to work for me but deffo as an eye liner to brighten tired
eyes this is amazing!!
Crème Brulee Butter Gloss- This again was highly recommend and
I am not really a lip gloss kinda person I think my days of my hair sticking to
my lips are over so I was a bit reluctant to buy this. The texture I do find
slightly on the stick side, I think I am just more of a lipstick person but the
colour is lovely. I tend to wear this over my nude lip liner in Spice by MAC
and it looks really nice.
My current NYX wishlist includes a few dupes:
Power lipstick- MAC Snob
Terracotta blush- MAC Gingerly
Summer Love lipstick- MAC Hue
Mauve Liner
Peekaboo Liner
I will keep an eye out for these and just trying to find somewhere that stocks them all is unreal, Mauve liner is not to be found so if anyone reading this can get their hands on these for me, let me know and I'll happily send you the money, I am losing the will to live in search of these beauties!!
I hope you enjoyed the post, as I said my poor collection is so small but it's a plan to build it right up. If you know of any other dupes be sure to let me know. The ladies from From Matte to Metallic, Ciara & Jen are awesome for their shoutouts!!
Here are some current stockists I found on Eat Sleep Chic Blog:
