Physicians Formula Product Review- 3 newbies!

15:00:00

Hey Ladies,

Next up on the blog this week is a review of three products I was kindly sent from the lovely Caroline in Publicity Loft before Christmas. The Publicity Loft were very good to me in helping with prizes for the Blog’s Birthday Giveaway and it was so nice to receive a little treat for myself the the package.

This brand is called Physicians Formula and this was the first product launch I went to last year. I remember it so well, I was super nervous so I met with the lovely Sinead from The Beautiful Truth to arrive to the event together. She had been to a couple before so she knew how it all worked, I on the other hand felt like a child in a sweet shop arriving to the hotel. I have blogged all about that night HERE

Up on the blog today are three products I have been testing out. The first is the conceal/correct pen. I love a double ended product. You feel like you're getting more for your money and that really is key to a lot of my beauty purchases.  PF is not an overly expensive brand but it does sit up there more with MAX Factor and Revlon than your Rimmel or Catrice products. It’s an American company and sometimes it can be hard to find stockists but for all you Deise ladies, Mulligans in Tramore have a fully stocked display and I was delighted to have found it the last time I was home.

So the concealer is great! The green is soft enough to blend onto any of my pinker bits on my face (mostly around my blemishes) and then the creamy coloured concealer works really well on my under eye area. I like this product because I don't find it drying on the area which is a real shame when this happens under your eye as it can age you something awful and let’s face it… who the hell needs that happening!! This product retails at €11.90

Next up is probably my least favourite product from my treats and for none other reason than the size. The Nude eye shadow palette is the perfect size for that night away/weekend away small makeup bag. The colours are again really lovely, nudes, creams, browns and some goldie shadows, my only problem with this is trying to use just one colour and the types of brushes that I love to use were just a little too big. That sounds so silly but I think for the quick and easy applications that I like I need more space between my shadows. I just struggled slightly to pick up all the colour I wanted and not get any of the others on that. In saying that, the pigment on the palette is lovely, there is a really good array of colours so don’t mind my fussiness! This shadow palette retails at €16.90 and would make a brilliant gift idea!

Last but not least is again great bang for your buck with a triple shimmer stick pack. I am an eyeliner fan as stated in a recent post, I am likely to use liner more so now than ever. On days where I don’t want to do a whole shadow look and just want a little something on my eyes, I reach for one of my shimmer sticks to add a little pop of colour onto my eye be it on the top and bottom lash line or just one of the other. It can totally change your whole look with little to no effort and when you are doing your makeup at 7am that’s exactly what you want. The pencils glide onto the eye real easy, no nasty stretching or pulling which I have to say has happened to me quite a lot before with other eye products and it’s really why I was so reluctant to try anymore pencils on my eyes but thanks PF these bad boys are excellent. This trio retails at €16.90

All in all, I am once again really happy with the PF products, I have a good few of them now and all have worked out really well for me, again Sinead in the beautiful truth is a great fan of the liner pen so I might try that next. Be sure to check out Physicians Formula on Twitter. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment and I'll do my best to find you the answer.
