P&G Beauty Event- Making the Magazines :)
13:05:00Attending beauty events is a great part of blogging and the first one for me in 2015 was hosted by Burrell PR and it was the P&G Beauty Event in the fabulous penthouse in The Morgan Hotel Dublin.

As some of you will be aware by now (seeing as of course I have it posted on my Facebook and Twitter) a picture taken of me and Aisling from Coveted Mess has made it into Irish Tatler RSVP and U Magazine so that’s just brilliant! I always wanted to be in a magazine when I was little, just a little girly dream I had and what do you know…I’m in three in the one month :)
So let’s get back to the event…I met up with Cat and Elaine from Big Blonde Girl & Ruby Laine Makeup & Special FX outside The Morgan and in we went into one of the prettiest hotel in Dublin. The venue was quite when we arrived, we were lucky because as we left it was jam packed with beauty lovers. It was warm, cosy and luxury was everywhere!

Make Up artist Lyndsey Cavanagh demonstrated the season’s key looks from the new range of Max Factor Crème Puff Blushes and mascaras. We were gifted some blushes and the mascara and I am loving them. We’ll get into them more later.
In the styling suite Trudy Hays made sure guests were pampered and with products from the Pantene Pro-V range while Vidal Sassoon Colour Technician, Stuart Ross introduced their new premium two-step home hair colour system.(evoke.ie) I am hoping to try the new home hair colour system soon and Aisling from Coveted mess, Katie from Blogging it Beautiful and Cat from Big Blonde Girl had their hair styled and they all looked fab!
We were also gifted three Herbal Essence dry shampoos and the new Aussie shower gels, so our goody bags were jam packed.
We sat on the rooftop and had ice cream brought to us while sipping punch (non-alcoholic for me) and chatted with all my other blogging ladies.
It was a truly wonderful evening, it was so nice to meet the professionals and hear all about the new products. We picked up tips and tricks from everyone that I couldn't wait to try out when we got home. It’s nice to meet people and see what their ideas for the new products are.
For example, the new blushes from Max factor are to create a much more subtle look for the spring/summer season, a less contoured look yet still fresh and glowy skin. I actually received two of the same blush but they are amazing colours. I received 2x lovely pink and 1 lavish mauve and I really like them both. I have used them both as blushes rather than a contour but I think when the summer months come in and I have more colour to my face I’ll try some subtle contouring. These beauties retail at €11.49 approx.
We got to try out the three new dry shampoos from Herbal Essences. They are the; Ignite my colour, uplifting volume and clearly naked. I love the uplifting volume dry shampoo the best for my hair. This contains a fruity fragrance and gives my limp roots a little boost on the day I need a little pick me up. I didn't use dry shampoos that often but I am so glad to have this now. My hair is quite long and thick and sometimes you just need to freshen up your hair without the painstaking washing and drying so delighted to have these in my beauty drawer. This retail at €3.99 approx.
Aussie is a brand you will all know by now. It has the brilliant 3 minute miracle conditioner which I’m sure many of you have tried before. They have just launched their new body washes and I was gifted two; the shower smoothie and the mega watt body wash. These retail at €6.49 each and are so lovely. In the last few months I have really gotten into my body products lately, scents are becoming really important to me and these smell delicious.
