Lipstick, Glitter & Me Masterclass with Makeup by Rebecca

Hello Beauties!

I love a good ould makeup masterclass. I would actually attend them every day if I could, I think learning off others is something that suits me. I love watching others create makeup looks, I love to see how they hold their brushes, what products they use and especially I love making new shopping lists for myself.

I was really excited to be invited to Rebecca's masterclass which took place a couple of weeks ago. Rebecca is an MUA and also has her own beauty blog Lipstick Glitter & Me. I was hoping to have this post up sooner but as luck would have it Rebecca has just launched her second date so if you like what you read here then be sure to grab your ticket.

So this is the workshop I attended....

I was there bright and early grabbed a tea and made my way to the room, there was loads of hustle and bustle going on while the ladies were setting up. We were welcomed with two fab goodie bags and Rebecca was greeting guests and prepping her model.

As Rebecca has another class coming up soon in the Green Isle again I don't want to give all her secrets away but her first look on model Claire was a day look. I really liked Rebecca's style, she talked through every product she used, she answered any questions people had for her and she was great at naming every product she used and describing how it works on the skin. As well as talking you through the products she also let you know what brush she was using and how to use it. I find this tip really helpful for people who like makeup and want to learn more. I remember for years before blogging I would spend my money on makeup, high end brands costing a fortune and then I wouldn't have the brush to apply it correctly. I never thought to buy brushes and certainly wouldn't have known who to buy my brushes from or even what specific brushes were used for so this was an excellent part of the day.

The second look was then created on Aoife and this was to focus on firstly the HD brow look and then a smokey eye. The brows were a great trick to learn. Rebecca created real on trend looking brows and showed you how easily it can be done when you practice a little and again use the right brushes and products. The smokey eye created on Aoife was stunning and I always love learning tips for creating the flick on the eye using gel liner. Thankfully Rebecca used the no.77 gel liner from Inglot so I have been practicing away using her technique.

For lunch it was so handy we got to stay in the hotel and nip to the bar for food and inside Niamh from Nima brush and Valerie from Glove Your Body Dual Tanning Mitt were setting up for their presentations to the group. I had never seen this at a masterclass before, a brand coming into talk to the guests but I have to say I really like it. Of course it helped that I love Nima Brushes and we had been given a voucher to use on the day so I knew I'd be picking up some of the Artistic collection but I was also delighted to see the tanning mitt there as this is actually a mitt I have and use all the time. The sales were booming for the ladies after their presentations and there's actually a new product coming out fro the Glove Your Body team so I can't wait to try that. I've linked both the FB pages on their names above so check them out!!

The final look on the day was on Amanda. This look was absolutely stunning a real smoked out heavy look and really up my street for a night out. I loved Rebecca's application on Amanda and she also used her very own contour palettes which were on sale that day. Rebecca is bringing out a few makeup pieces of her own and I'm really excited to see her brushes most of all, I am a total brush addict! She even showed us an amazing trick when creating a nighttime look and getting a fab flick and angle on your shadow but you'll just have to attend her next class to find out.

I am so happy that Rebecca has another date in the pipeline already and here is the invite...

I would highly recommend you go to Rebecca's next masterclass if you can. She absolutely knows her stuff, I had a lovely girly day full of laughs, got myself some new brushes, made a whole new shopping list of makeup bits and pieces and not to mention went home with two goodie bags. Again I don't want to spoil the surprises for you but I was absolutely delighted! Thanks so much to Rebecca for inviting me and be sure to follow all her social media accounts:
