Hello Lovelies,
So the weather may no longer be on our side in the way that we want it but it doesn't mean that for those of us who are brutally pale in the summer months have anything to worry about. Today on the blog we are looking at a tan that leaves you with a lovely healthy natural looking colour on the skin, Tan Organic Self Tan OIl.
I was sent this beautiful tanning oil and another tan organic product the exfoliating glove from Tan Organic which you can check out HERE This tan retails at €24.99 on the site and is widely known as a great brand throughout the country. First things first, the bottle is glass so be careful, it contains 100ml of the tanning oil and from my half body use I have used barely anything so that’s a huge bonus already for the tan, I hate wasting tan on mitts and gloves when I want it on my body! Tan Organic as a brand do have two of their own tanning mitts, one with a thumb slot and one without. They retail at €7.99 ) with and €4.99 without. They are double sided and do look beautiful but as I haven't tried them with this tan, I can't say anymore on them as a combo.
So what’s the info about this tanning oil...
I let myself dry a little while longer than some other tans to be sure it was safe to dress as I still couldn't see any colour at all, I didn't know how I was feeling but my clothes were safe, no rub off on them and my hands I gave a quick wipe with a water wipe and was happy enough they wouldn't be destroyed.
I really like the colour, it's soft and gentle which suits my want for that healthy look and not a nighttime look. There was no scent off it as it was developing, in the bottle it smells slightly like oranges which is grand for me I don't mind them. The fade has also been great, I am showering daily with a wash and putting on moisturiser after each shower and I am not patchy anywhere.
For a natural healthy tan (nothing too dark at all) I would recommend Tan Organic Self Tanning Oil. I like companies that are focussed on bringing out safer products for our bodies, I think the price point seemed a little expensive but now from using the product it is certainly going to last me ages using my hands for application.
The second product I want to mention from the Tan Organic range is the Exfoliator Tan-Erase Glove. This retails at €14.99 and it's said...
"The secret to a perfect golden tan is all in the preparation. Exfoliation lies at the heart of healthy skin. Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface, the epidermis, and has been used for many years to help maintain healthy skin.
Tan Erase gently exfoliates the skin by removing the dead layers of skin cells creating a closer shave and leaves the skin feeling luxuriously supple and soft – the perfect base to apply your tan.
Gentle on skin
Exfoliate once or twice a week
Ensures streak, patch free application
Leaves skin looking healthy and smooth"
Again it's a pretty big claim from a product but anyone who has been following Mastering Your Makeup will know that every single time I speak about a tan, I always refer to the preparation. It's so simple ladies, you have to prep your skin in order to have a perfect natural all over tan. There's no shortcut. I am a huge lover of the weekly bath to really get in there into the hot water, leave my skin soak for a bit, take out the glove and an exfoliator scrub and tackle the dead skin cells. I always feel like it's the best way and this glove really helps. You need to let the tan start to work off your skin in the bath with the heat and then when you scrub it off using the glove it really shortens the amount of time you need to spending at your skin.
From the time when I first heard about Tan Organic there are more products in their range than ever, I have seem some of my fellow bloggers receiving these other products so be sure to check them out for reviews if you search Tan Organic review you'll be sure to find them. One product I would be very interested in is the facial tanning oil, it's so good to see a brand bring out a specific facial tanning product which is safe for the skn on our faces.
Tan Organic is an Irish company and I always love to see some HomeGrownHereos getting the promotion they deserve. Have you tried Tan Organic products? What are your thoughts?

Seems like the perfect tan wouldn't you agree? I decided to ask around about the application and would you believe it was suggested using my hands… WHAT???? I didn't know what to make of that I'll tell you straight I had a vision of a chocolate coloured oil running off me and once again looking like something too early for Halloween! But… nope that didn't happen at all! I prepped my skin, exfoliating and moisturising the night before my tanning application, I then got to work on lashing on the tan... well it's clear and only slightly greasy so it's very hard to see where you have put it on and where you haven't. That got me a little worried but I thought, be brave and keep going... the bottle has a slow pour action which was great so I had no spillage, I cupped my hand, added some tanning oil and applied it like a body moisturising oil but keeping close attention to my hands to be sure I was moving them everywhere I wanted to be tanned.I let myself dry a little while longer than some other tans to be sure it was safe to dress as I still couldn't see any colour at all, I didn't know how I was feeling but my clothes were safe, no rub off on them and my hands I gave a quick wipe with a water wipe and was happy enough they wouldn't be destroyed.
A really nice healthy looking glow is exactly what I wanted
