Monday Makeup Rainbow Challenge.... Brown :)

21:36:00

Hi beauties,

Hope everyone had a fun weekend, I really enjoyed creating this look this week, we took it back a little neutral and went for a brown eye, mostly due to the fact I had some time to play on Saturday morning and I really wanted to use my Urban Decay Naked Palettes so I created a brown look and ran it by Elaine so Voila!!

I wanted the look to be something wearable as I was out and about for the day and I did really like it. About a half hour after leaving the house I got something small stuck in my eye and most of my under eye area on the right side was destroyed in tears so I'm glad I did the posing beforehand. I discovered the level of vanity I have taking selfies on my phone for at least 10 minutes and deleting the majority of them of course!

For this look I really wanted to try out some of the Eylure lashes I had been sent, I loved the 1st pair so much I have managed to get 4 wears out of them so that's fantastic but these are just super duper long and beautiful I couldn't wait to wear them :)

For this look on my eyes I used my trusted double ended Blank Canvas Cosmetics Brush the E25/26 brush, this is a fluffy blender and harder blender on the other end. I used my pencil brush from my Nima Brush eye set and I also used my MAC 217 as my extra blending brush.

I actually only used three different colours for this look, keeping it simple but because some of the colours have a shimmer I think it looks more dramatic than the effort put in which I love!! As always my liner is the always amazing no.77 gel liner from Inglot and I used my 31T brush from Inglot to apply that.

Here is my interpretation of the brown eye...

Absolutely love those lashes!!!

Saturday poser selfie... sure why not!

Here is Elaine's lovely brown eye look...

My fave part of this look is deffo the darker shading around the eye, it's something I am still working on my own looks, sometimes I think I am over blending but it's not that at all, what I do is chicken out from adding more of the darker colours so I feel I am left somewhat plain but Elaine has this to perfection and I really like this look on her. So far I think every look has been lovely on Elaine and of course I am not just saying that as she's my friend but I think she is just so talented, she knows her own eyes, she knows what way to apply her shadow to suit her perfectly and every time it is truly flawless. I am absolutely loving working with my blogging bestie because creating a look each weeks makes sure I get loads of practice in and picking up more tips and tricks along the way. Be sure to head on over to Ruby Laine Make-Up & Special FX and see all her amazing work. You can also get her on Twitter @RubyL_MakeUP and on Instagram @ rubylainemakeup and you'll get to see her new little pet Pumpkin.... too cute!!

Hope you enjoyed our looks this week ladies...
